Add a "mute tab button" in Firefox!
It's annoying when an element in certain tab starts making noise and sometimes you can't really stop it. So why not adding a button on the tab to mute any sound coming from it? Or may be even a hotkey - Ctrl+Mouse1 on the tab = mute the tab and the tab itself goes in different color.
Very light change, won't be visible to users who r not interested in it, but for ones that do browse in multiple tabs simultaneously it could be a great innovation.
Hope u like it,
Cheerz,

Firefox (UI): Enable customization of Status Bar in the same fashion the Toolbars are (drag 'n drop)
The title says it all. Instead of having objects fixed on the status bar, make it like the toolbars, with the same items pool, the same drag 'n drop UI.
Remove the need for the Statusbar Organizer addon, and enable us to put toolbar items in the status bar... and vice versa.
I for one, would love to get that Greasemonkey icon at the far right above the search bar...149 votes -
Weave: Add a guest mode
I would like, for weave to have a guest mode. I think weave is about having all your information everywhere. But if I'm at a friends, and I remember this awsome page I visited, I would like to have a mode, where all my weave data is downloaded, and I can access it, and after I'm done the computer switches back to the original state

This will be pretty easy once we have integrated Weave Sync into Firefox.

Web Access for Firefox Sync
With Xmarks dying or becoming premium, it would be nice to be able to access the data stored in Firefox sync (bookmarks, tabs, passwords, etc and any future implementations) in a web browser. I use Firefox on systems at my university and other shared computers that are deep frozen and do not keep profile changes. Being able to manage Firefox Sync data (such removing "open tabs" from computers that are no longer used like aforementioned deep-frozen computers) would also be nice. I don't currently need to sync this data with non-Firefox browsers, but installing and setting up Firefox on some… more

Tabs open in real location
When a tab is moved away from the tabbar, the window should open were the tab was released. Espacially in a multiscreen Desktop.

Firefox: Open a new tab in Panorama with a middle click in a tab group
At the moment, you can use the middle click in Panorama to create a new tab group and close a tab.
You should also be able to open a new tab by middle-clicking on the empty space in an existing tab group. At them moment this is possible by double-clicking, but that's quite annoying.
At the moment, nothing happens when you middle-click an empty space in a tab group, so no functionality will be lost but, in my opinion, a lot of comfort is gained.34 votes -
Merge search and awesomebar
Chrome did an interesting integration letting you search google straight from addressbar.
Ihmo could be interesting to have firefox do the same, having a single super-duper-ultra-awesomebar (^_^) that let you hit a hotkey (q?) or click a button in it to search what you typed, maybe also suggesting 1 or 2 possibilities based on what you search in the past (same as happens today with history or bookmarks)
Keep up with the good work..

We’ll have a better solution for sharing in the near future. Sync’ed into the cloud using Weave Sync. :)

Do away with the status bar
On the current build of Firefox, the status bar only shows the location of the link you're about to click and where Firefox is downloading files from, the security icon, and Firefox Sync. It would be more streamlined to remove those pixels and have them hide and show only when necessary. Otherwise, it's a bar that says "Done". I suggest hide/show when active, move the Firefox Sync button to the title bar or address bar, and if it's completely necessary to have the status bar, give it some function to do with downloads other than showing status and time of… more

Add new functionality to app tabs.
App tabs for social websites like Facebook and Twitter or app tabs for music websites like Pandora and last.fm could be provided with a shortcuts on mouse over, like update status, view last 5 statuses, or with music sites, player controls and last 5 songs played. App tabs could also be signified by website code, such as Facebook telling Firefox it's an app, so the site automatically turns into an app tab.

Migration of mails from MS Outlook .pst file to thunderbird and vice-versa
In order that Thunderbird is accepted as a viable alternative to MS Outlook / Outlook Express, tehre needs to be a migration mechanism by which the offline folders (.pst) in MS Outlook / Outlook Express be accepted as an import / export option.

Integrate Find in the status bar
I think Find in this page function would be much more handy if permanently located in the status bar, with its own search box-it could also use some improvement:as highlighted words are often at the bottom of the page, this should auto-scroll so that the word is visible in its contest.
